I began writing spiritually based novels in 1994. At the time, I was heavily into studying the New Age, after leaving my Christian upbringing (which was never my choice). I'd always loved reading novels, and so I wanted to read novels that reflected the spiritual principles I was learning. But everything was so negative - just a bunch of sex, drugs, and violence.

So I decided to write my own.

My driving passion was that I wanted to contribute to making this a more positive world, countering all those "men are pigs, women are bitches, be sexy so you can get some"-type attitudes, and the "eye for an eye" revenge mentality.

I've never been a trend-follower: in fact, if someone says "everyone does it," I'm the first to say, "Oh yeah? Not me!" And then I go do anything but.

The themes of my novels never really fit into any of the mainstream genres, so I went and found myself a new genre: "Visionary" fiction, in which the inner world of the character is key and spiritual growth is part of their journey. There are also elements of the supernatural and the extraordinary.

As a kid I could draw, from time to time, but it wasn't until digital software came around that I found my element. I became fascinated with creating my own book covers to better portray each novel's deep symbolism. It was then I discovered my passion for photomanipulation and design, including DIY website layouts, logo design, etc.

In addition to my own book covers, I have designed covers for other people's books, almost exclusively fiction as the symbolism of the novel is such a wide playground.
